Temporary Emergency Fuel Levy

As previously advised, we are now actively reviewing fuel prices on a regular basis, to ensure that our fuel
levy remains fair, transparent, and reflective of actual market conditions.
Since the implementation of Excel’s temporary fuel levy at the end of July, fuel has further increased an
additional 24.5%, with last week’s diesel average sitting at $2.736.
To ensure we can maintain the high service and reliability standards you expect, we have no choice but to
implement a 5% increase on our emergency fuel level in line with commercial diesel supply. This will result
in the emergency fuel levy being set at 10% effective immediately.
We will continue to monitor this situation weekly and update as conditions alter. We want to assure our
trusted partners, when the fuel rates commence to decline, we will in turn adjust accordingly, as we have
done previously.
